11.1.11 and my darling Tiffany.....

Introducing Princess Tiffany Grace!!!!

It's about time i introduced my beloved Tiffany!!  She's been a part of my life in Lisbon for the whole time I've lived here.  She was only a tiny kitty (see above!) when she came to live with me and I fell in love with her straight away (she spent the whole of her first night hiding behind that frog!)

As I've mentioned before, we now have a garden so it's great that she can bound around outside.....
Though at the moment the house next door is being reconstructed, so there's a whopping great big hole that leads onto the street at the front of the house (usually it's all walled around our house, so she can only be in the gardens)  So i'm super paranoid about her venturing too close to the road.... :(

Her different coloured eyes are so unique and she's such a sweetie and so loveable to match!

At my home in England, i have a beautiful kidney shaped dressing table..... I've had a 'thing' about them for as long as i can remember, so here in my house in Lisbon i really miss to have it.  I've been scouring furniture shops for ages to find one, but they've always had a 'but' to them, ie, falling apart, stupidly expensive, one was already sold and another i saw must have been made for a child!!!

But as i live my life by the saying that everything happens for a reason, on Sunday i was reminded of that very mantra!

We randomly went to help a dear friend put up some new furniture Sunday afternoon and low and behold as we stepped into her hallway, there in front of my eyes was this kidney shaped dressing table!! Wow, i exclaimed, i've been looking for one of these for ages, i told her!
Can you believe she was about to throw it out........???
Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!

I need to find a mirror for it, it's poor little leg has been fixed and now i'm deciding whether to leave it as it is or paint it a different colour..... I've always dreamt of having a white one, but then i feel sad to paint it!!!!
Mmmmmmmm decisions, decisions..... What do you think?!

I'll post more pics of it tomorrow........

I had a sickly baby today :(  I think it's teething... I wish i could take the pain for her, it must be wretched.
So we stayed home all afternoon, whilst she slept it off.
I thank Tiffany for being such a wonderful model for me!!!!

Lots of love and thank you to everyone's kind and wonderful messages and emails.  They mean so much to me...

Keep stopping by....

Mumble Jumble Monday...

We are so, so lucky to have our garden.  We live really close to the centre but at the same time have the peace and tranquility of our haven.  The flowers we have are amazing, plus we have the pick of a lemon tree, grape vines and as you can see below even bananas.... super tropical baby!!!
With all the rainy weather we've been having, the garden looks like a mushy, miserable leaf pit at the moment, but when it brightens it will definitely be worthy of it's own post!!!  So watch this space and pray for a sunny day :)

A mumble jumble of my fave shoes, patterned tights, a bit of Viv and jewellery pinched from my daughter!!!

My mum certainly knows my style and she picks the greatest presents.
This Vivienne Westwood skull necklace was a treat for Christmas and i adore it....
Thank you Mum......  I LOVE YOU XXXXX

As you know i love my rings and things!  The Hello Kitty's are 'borrowed' from my daughter's little treasures.  The pink eye bracelet is designed for my own jewellery line, which will be coming soon!!
(I'm super excited about that new venture!)

The skull ring is Bershka and the double ring is Miss Selfridge xxx

I got this Juicy Couture bag in the January sales at Harvey Nichols in Leeds.
Travelling with a tot you really need a million hands and by the end of the journey i have bits and pieces mixed up all other the place!
I thought this would be perfect for my important things.... passports, tickets, phone and wallet.
I used it when i flew back to Lisbon this time and it proved it's purpose perfectly.
So thank you Juicy!!!

The foil nails are gone..... but not forever!!! I'm going to order some more from ASOS.  This pink polish is by 'Barry M', they do a great range of cool colours, this particular one being 'Bright Pink'.  Definitely worth a try...

There will also be a GIVEAWAY coming soon.... so keep reading!!

Happy Monday and love to you all you darlings :)

Him and the Hunters

My new friend!!!

I couldn't just leave him there, laying on the cold, wet floor at the Feira da Ladra.
So one measly euro later and he had a new home!
I just fell in love with the little man.

I woke up on a mission today!!
I have this bright idea that I'd like an antique/vintage-esque cake stand,  not for cakes mind you!!!
(More chance of me running through Lisbon naked, than all aproned up in the kitchen, covered in flour!)
I've dreamt up this image of having one for my many rings to sit in on my dressing table!
(Like you do!)

So, of course, i figured the first port of call to hunt one down would be Lisbon's twice weekly market.
Last night i went to bed all happy and looking forward to getting up and setting off on my mission.....

Well, the wind howled all night long, the rain poured endlessly from the sky and when i awoke this morning it wasn't much different.  It was down right miserable...... :(

I moped around the house drinking copious amounts of coffee, til all of a sudden the rained stopped, the sky cleared and i saw my chance!!!!
Throwing on my wellingtons and coat (yes, my darling Hunters are getting their use!)
Before i knew it i was down at the Feira da Ladra, scouring the stalls for my beloved wish!!!!

Of course i didn't find one (it's always like that isn't it?!)
But this little chap was well worth the journey!  Along with my weekly orange hot chocolate and cookie, i arrived back home content...... and to even feel a little smug, literally the second my heavy front door slammed behind me, the heavens reopened and the torrential rain returned.

As my new little friend and I watched the rain splatter the windows, i knew, that like anything, things come to you when you least expect it...... and i wouldn't swap this little gem of a bear for anything!

Quick hot chocolate break!!!!!
;)

Love and kisses from me and (the as yet nameless) little chappy

A 'FAB' day at the office...

As hard as i try i never manage to get up to my alarm, so that's why most mornings are action all stations to get ready, breakfast, nursery dash and then class!
Though i do get better as the week goes on and so usually on a Friday i get into class in good time to 'warm up' before it starts!

My pink shawl is like my comfort blanket!! I bought it in Oslo and it always brings back sweet memories of the time i spent there dancing.

I must say that the best 'warm up' stuff for work that i have ever had to date, is my 'FAB' stuff.
Made to measure, with a choice of a zillion, gorgeous colours, custom made even down to how many stripes you wish to have...... fab :)
I love them, and let's face it, there's not much chance of bumping into someone in class wearing the same outfit :)

Watch this space for a feature FAB post!

Happy Friday night all

Love and kisses

Lost and Found, hidden gems...

Don't you just love it when you find something you forgot you had!!
My 'Paddington Bear' coat (as i seem to refer to it as!!) was found lurking at the back of my wardrobe, sandwiched and hidden amongst a zillion other things.
I can remember when i bought it, at home in England shopping with my mum (the best shopping companion) in 'Topshop' and as soon as i slipped it on, it was love!

Thus, why i was happy to 're' find it yesterday....
I should sort through my stuff more often!!!

These fabulous boots are also proving to be a great asset to my closet :)
I had wanted some for ages and then (as you will remember from some posts ago) I spotted these in a shop window but when i excitedly galloped in, they didn't have my size :(
I was actually gutted! But as luck would have it, i found them again a few days before i left for England. I was meant to have them after all!!

I had so much fun in the shops in England!  I just couldn't believe that the 'January sales' were already on the rails Christmas Eve, this was this day that i got the best of my purchases.
To be honest I'm not much of a sale shopper, shops such as 'Next' opened at 5am on their first day of sales.
I can't imagine to

 A. be up at that time
 and
 B. to fight through crowds

So i was pleased with the calm and peaceful way in which i picked and tried my bits and bobs :)
And all before Christmas Day!!! Bonus!!!

The foil nails are starting to peel :( But I've had a good week with them!
The bracelet and skull ring are both from Miss Selfridge.

I'm so happy to be reunited with my blog after our holiday xxx

Sweet dreams

Welcome 2011

Back in Lisbon, after the most amazing break in England with my family and friends.
Christmas was special, though my baby was totally overwhelmed as to why she woke up to sacks full of presents!  Maybe next year she'll understand more as to what's going on!
We still did the tradition of leaving the drink and mince pie for Santa on the fireplace, even if i did have to take it out of her hands as she wanted to eat it herself!

My even darker hair (hard to believe i was blonde for the last twenty odd years!)

I love, love, love 'Topshop' jewellery and i went a bit stir crazy in the sales!
Plus I'm totally in love with the foil nail wraps i found in 'Boots'
They were so easy to apply (well on my left hand, the right hand was a bit trickier!!!)
These I've had on since New Years Eve and they are still looking lush!!!
I found some really cool ones on ASOS, so they are certainly on my TO BUY list!

So here's to an incredible 2011 and loads more Charliehearts blogging!!!

Love and kisses
