Love is...

Love is something that you have that you can treasure forever and ever.
Something that will always make you smile...

Today I realised I had worn four real loves of my wardrobe.
River Island leopard boots
My beloved sequined bag... Primark and I adore it!
A Topshop jumper that I seem to wear and wear and never tire
And Pull and Bear jeans that almost seem like they were made to measure.

I've decided my closet needs a shift around, items get lost at the back and I forget about them.  I obviously need a back door to my wardrobe!

The Old Town...

It's not so often that we have the time to leisurely stroll around.  So the other day with a few hours break between rehearsals and a glorious afternoon it would have been a waste to stay indoors.  I'm so glad that we took the opportunity as it's doing nothing but rain ever since!
The Old Town is one of my favourite parts of the city, full of charm and character, it exudes the atmosphere of simply being a nice place to be with it's inviting nature.

I was happy to see the tree being put up in preparation for Christmas.  I'm a big kid when it comes to this time of year and love those first Christmas-y feelings!  Though, as I sat and read the paper this morning, the tree has now fallen down!!!

My outfit here is totally made up of 'reloved' items.
The boots from River Island have been resoled and heeled, but I can't part with them.
The tshirt I found in a boutique in Spain years and years ago
The Burberry Scarf is a true Brit classic.
and the bag which I forgot i even owned is from a boutique in Oslo, that I bought when I lived in Norway, what now feels a million years ago!

I should dig into the back of my wardrobe more often!!!

Life Out Of The Tutu...

I'd toyed with the idea of having a blog years before I eventually started CharlieHearts.  Though dance is obviously a very big passion of mine, so is fashion and I often dreamt of having a blog almost like a diary of the both entwined together, that would be something that I could look back on in years to come and watch over how both my life and style evolved.

As CharlieHearts approaches it's first birthday, I'm overwhelmed by the response and wonderful people I have met though my photos and writing...... my only regret now is that I didn't start it all those years ago.

As CharlieHearts isn't solely a typical fashion blog cataloging my outfits, I at first felt that I had to find a balance between the two subjects.  Neither overpowering one more than the other..... but as time passes and we learn as we go on, I can see that the haphazardness of what my next blog post will bring only adds character and brings a personality to the blog.  People new to the blog scene often ask me the best way for them to sell their blog and I always believe that the best way is to seal yours with your own individual stamp.
I appreciate and value every single person that drops by to read CharlieHearts.

So, as my recent photos have concentrated on being backstage of the theatre, I thought a couple front of house would be nice thrown into the mix!!!

After a busy few weeks, tonight we are having belated Bonfire Night celebrations, with sparklers and a BBQ!!!

Happy Sunday :)

Summer feelings in Winter wear...

The weather was good enough to be tempted to jump in, but certainly not warm enough to go through with it!  The sun skimming the top of the water, filled me with anticipation for the summer days, which now don't seem so far away!

I must say that I think this is the first time I've ever stood at a pool edge in my winter wardrobe!

Here is another view of the National Pantheon that we finally visited the other day.
How magnificent it looks against the blue sky, though lots of things do with a backdrop of a sky like this!

My wardrobe today was a total mish mash sandwich of labels! From Ugg to Primark to Zara to Topshop and my favourite Carreras as the cherry on the cake!

But this it totally how I live my style life...
I think it's so important to remember that we can't all be head to toe in Chanel......and anyway in my eyes you don't need to be.  The high street offers such great clothes, that with a bit of this and a bit of that we can put our own stamp on fashion the fashion world.

So mix and match......
and smile!!!!!!

A few of my favourite things!

Firstly the cupcake which is here sat on top of my jewellery box was delicious!!
I love my Union Jack jewellery box (i have a bit of a thing for jewellery boxes!)  Though yesterday, whilst shopping in Haworth I finally found a cake stand!!!  It isn't actually what i had originally had in mind, but when i saw it, I knew it would work for what i wanted!  So keep posted for the photos!!

Easter is fast approaching and shops have had Easter eggs in stock for a while now!
The Cadbury's Creme Eggs have been around for as long as I can remember, but I'm sure that the older I get, the smaller the egg gets!!!!
Wispa's have also been around for years, but for now it's definitely my chocolate bar of the moment!!

I love my place in England, it's filled with childhood memories and is so homely and cosy....
It's always a treat to come here and is a great place to relax and recuperate and as you can see my bedroom is very patriotic!!!

River Island parka, which is perfect for England's drizzly weather.  My brand new Uggs (which are not perfect for England's drizzle!) and a beautiful Miu Miu bag, that I have had for years, but never dates.

Finally I've got some new ear phones which i found in Urban Outfitters (another great shop!)

Like my mission for a cake stand, for a while now I've been searching for a bird cage type thing to put my bracelets in!  I found this one this week, I just love the little bird sat on top!

So here are just a few of my favourite things!
I'm so happy that my internet and laptop behaved long enough for me to write a post!!!

Lots of love

Mission 'Casio' Accomplished!!

Yeah!!!!
Finally i got it and I'm super, super happy!!!!!!
After much deliberation, dragging myself around shops and ogling it through the shop windows, i eventually came to the conclusion that i did 'NEED' it!

So i am now a proud owner of this gold Casio watch!

Though now i have to remind myself that i am wearing it, seeing as last night at my friend's house for dinner i made the fatal error of asking the time!!!!!
Doh, i was the only one wearing a watch!!
Oh gosh, i may have dark hair now, but i certainly fell into the 'blonde joke' category with that one!!!
My excuse is that I've never accessorized with a watch ;)
I'll get the hang of it!!!
Hahaha

I absolutely love the Pamela Love Talon Cuff, so when i found this necklace the other day in H&M, i instantly fell in love!

Have a sunny Sunday
