Today the sun shone and I spent the afternoon with my family :)  Nothing can beat the relaxing feeling in good company and a bright sky............ and a cheeky glass of vino!

Love is something that you have that you can treasure forever and ever.  

Something that will always make you smile...

Today I realised I had worn four real loves of my wardrobe.

River Island leopard boots

My beloved sequined bag... Primark and I adore it!

A Topshop jumper that I seem to wear and wear and never tire

And Pull and Bear jeans that almost seem like they were made to measure.

I've decided my closet needs a shift around, items get lost at the back and I forget about them.  I obviously need a back door to my wardrobe!

Minus....

A few weeks ago as temperatures plummeted to minus 25 degrees in Estonia, I was happy to be snuggled up inside my family home in the UK.  Though that week we too were about to have blankets of snow thrown on us but it certainly didn't hit the double minuses as it had here!

I'd returned home under sad circumstances, but the time I had to spend with my family and friends was wonderful and now that I'm back at work I'm still savouring the memories :)

I find it hard to vary my wardrobe at the moment, as it is so chilly, every morning I just end up throwing on my trusty Uggs and Topshop coat.  I'd love to embrace a more fashionista look (living in Lisbon was so easy for that!) but alas, for now the weather wins.........

Chilly Delight...

After living in sunny Portugal for the last five years, with the key elements of my wardrobe being flip flops, shorts and bikinis, one of my biggest worries when we left the warm climate behind was that I would miss the beautiful weather that I had become so accustomed to.   Alas, how your mind set can change so rapidly, as I embrace the cooler weather and take great delight in having a totally different wardrobe and wrapping up each day in warm layers and autumnal colours.

My trusty Topshop coat that I purchased last year owes me nothing as each morning it's always my top choice to slip on as I step out of the door.... that and my hat.... And so with a rare free moment to ourselves, it was refreshing to feel the biting air against my face and wade my feet through the waves of crispy leaves that are currently blanketing the streets as we wandered through the Old Town.  

Apparently this time last year it was already snowing and though I am looking forward to waking up to a winter wonderland, it can wait a little bit before it decides to come..... I enjoy kicking the leaves too much and I don't think snow would have the same effect!!!

Sparkly & polka dotted with a bread bin...

Why is it that when you go shopping for something in particular, you inevitably end up with something totally different!

Yesterday was one of these moments.....

I'm quite taken with the Feira Da Ladra at the moment, ever since my cake stand finds!!

So yesterday, I went there with the mission of a new vase.  I love to fill my rooms with flowers, but have a shortage of vases so figured I'd check out the market for something vintagey and ornate.....

and I came home with a.......................

...........bread bin!!!

Something my kitchen lacks at the moment, but definitely not a vase!

Oh well, it wasn't such an 'unsuccessful' visit then!

I'm really enjoying digging out my summer wardrobe from the back of my closet and the bottoms of my drawers.  I had completely forgotten about this spotty H&M dress that I had bought last Summer and my Topshop ballerina flats are certainly getting their use, I love them, so will definitely have to purchase some more when I'm next in England......

Plus it's a good excuse to browse the Topshop rails....

Summer feelings in Winter wear...

The weather was good enough to be tempted to jump in, but certainly not warm enough to go through with it!  The sun skimming the top of the water, filled me with anticipation for the summer days, which now don't seem so far away!

I must say that I think this is the first time I've ever stood at a pool edge in my winter wardrobe!

Here is another view of the National Pantheon that we finally visited the other day.

How magnificent it looks against the blue sky, though lots of things do with a backdrop of a sky like this!

My wardrobe today was a total mish mash sandwich of labels! From Ugg to Primark to Zara to Topshop and my favourite Carreras as the cherry on the cake!

But this it totally how I live my style life...  

I think it's so important to remember that we can't all be head to toe in Chanel......and anyway in my eyes you don't need to be.  The high street offers such great clothes, that with a bit of this and a bit of that we can put our own stamp on fashion the fashion world.

Today is the day.....

TODAY IS THE DAY YOU WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY...

AND ALL IS WELL   ....................

A teacher at my school once uttered those very words to me and they have stuck firm in my head..... Whenever I'm worried or nervous about something, i always repeat it to myself.

Today was one of 'those days' and for those of you who know me or follow my blog will know that these last few days have been full of 'what ifs......'

And look I'm still here and all is well!!!!!!

I can be a bit of a nervous head sometimes..... I rethink things over  a zillion times and end up coming up with all sorts of crazy scenarios!!! Though one good thing that does come out of these 'moments' is a sparkling house!

I honestly get a cleaning attack and this afternoon i scrubbed, polished and swept the house nearly to its foundations!!!

I bought these trousers in the 'January sales', though it was actually Christmas Eve!!!  I loved them, but was a bit stuck with what to wear on my tootsies....

I figured they would look nice with heels, but as you will have noticed, with these Lisbon cobbles, it's not so often i wear them.  Anyway today we had an occasion that fitted smart shoes, so i finally got to wear the trousers.  Then of course i got....... well what top.....  The last time i wore this leopard one i was about 7 months pregnant!!!   Thus the bit of 'give' that you can probably see around the tummy area!

By the way if anyone can enlighten me as to why i can not follow/add people on my google friend connect you will forever be my friend!!!  I have these lovely people following me but i can't follow them back as it just comes up as ERROR....... So I'd be delighted if anyone knew why?!!!
