My make up bag bursts at the seams.....

Ever since we were avidly encouraged at ballet school to wear a little makeup, I grew to love (like many people) how it can enhance your 'look'!

Many years down the line, I'm still an avid fan of the colourful stuff and even more so (to every sellers delight!) the packaging! 

Which brings me to the point of my post!......

MAC have incredible collaborations and although it isn't breaking news, I am eagerly awaiting the Spring 2013 dedicated to Archie comics and their iconic girls, Betty and Veronica!

Suffice to say my wallet will soon be weeping!

Months are hours...

Of course being at home means I have time to catch up with friends.  Good friends are keepers and although we spend months and months apart in different countries, when we finally meet up it feels like those months were merely hours!

Today the sun shone and I spent the afternoon with my family :)  Nothing can beat the relaxing feeling in good company and a bright sky............ and a cheeky glass of vino!

Although the rain relentlessly continues, it doesn't mar my proud Brit(ness) shining!

As Wimbledon ends and we whole heartedly prepare to host this years Olympics (though VERY, VERY wet!!) Great Britain is an extremely cool place to be :)

Welcome to my ice rink!!

                         OUCH!!!

I must be my own little comedy act walking to work. I either seem to walk like a pony, bending each knee up as I step and firmly planting my foot to the ground or I take the 'shuffle' approach or just to heck with it all and I basically skid and slide. The pavements are treacherous at the moment and I feel like I take my life (or more likely my profession!) into my own hands every time I step out of the door.

Those who know me well, will be well aware of my love with ice skating, but this is taking it a step (or a slide to far).  

Actually that's an idea - maybe I'll just go and invest in some ice skates and skate to work!!!

Standing Tall

These photos were hastily taken yesterday as we left the theatre after a long day...

The days are warmer and so we ended up walking in piles of slush (not a favourite weather effect of mine!), though I don't think any amount of sun is going to melt the mound of snow that sits in front of the opera house.... I think that will still be there, piled high, until May!!!

Minus....

A few weeks ago as temperatures plummeted to minus 25 degrees in Estonia, I was happy to be snuggled up inside my family home in the UK.  Though that week we too were about to have blankets of snow thrown on us but it certainly didn't hit the double minuses as it had here!

I'd returned home under sad circumstances, but the time I had to spend with my family and friends was wonderful and now that I'm back at work I'm still savouring the memories :)

I find it hard to vary my wardrobe at the moment, as it is so chilly, every morning I just end up throwing on my trusty Uggs and Topshop coat.  I'd love to embrace a more fashionista look (living in Lisbon was so easy for that!) but alas, for now the weather wins.........
